About Us

Precision Machine Works, was founded in 1955, by Mr. John W. Heaton in Aiken, SC.  Originally started to furnish machine parts to the fiberglass industry, Precision Machine Works has expanded over the years supplying machined parts to national and international customers of many different industrial applications.

Originally started in Mr. Heaton's back yard, Precision Machine Works has grown into a 25,000 square foot facility offering not only state of the art CNC machined parts, but Waterjet capabilities as well.

Precision Machine Works is currently owned and operated by Charlie Heaton, son of Mr. Heaton, and Ashley Heaton, grandson of Mr. Heaton.

Our customer base still includes fiberglass plants worldwide, awarded 1984 Supplier of the Year Award from Owens Corning, and we have expanded to become a major supplier to the pharmaceutical industry and to Department of Defense subcontractors, being recognized in 2003 as Supplier of the Year by BAE Systems.
